The 2008 IAHSP Foundation Auction was a resounding success! Our deep appreciation goes out to all those who helped make this year’s auction the best ever, including the great Auction Committee and the generous donors and bidders. We especially wish to thank all the IAHSP Chapters that donated such great items, as well as many individual ASPMs and ASPs. Some of our vendors donated items that put us over the top. IAHSP Foundation funds go directly back to the chapters for their use in projects for World Wide Staging Services Week.
The Silent Auction raised $4,734, and the Live Auction under the direction of Auctioneer Dan Skoglund assisted by Barb raised $19,555! That is a grand total of $24,289!! The bidding was often lively and some great items were offered. Some highlights of the evening were the ASP Masters Course won by Claire Flower and the first offering of Lifetime IAHSP, ASP and ASP Masters Memberships donated by Barb and Stagedhomes.com. Our FIRST EVER Lifetime ASPM Master is Victoria Hunter, ASPM. She won a hard contest for that honor and her tenacity paid off! Thank you, Victoria, for your generous donation! Laura Arnold beat out many competitors to win the IAHSP Lifetime Membership, and Gail Aanestad won the Lifetime ASP Membership. (Just think – no more dues, with many more perks throughout time to be unfolded by Barb.) Other ASPM lifetimers now include ASPM’s Melanie Warren, Jan Whitlow, Dana Pedersen & Trish Kim. The very first Lifetime ASP is Gail Aanestad who also donated generously and then Stacey Gibson, ASP came on board with her wonderful donation too!
3Dream.net donated a year’s online membership of their fantastic 3-D tool to recreate rooms and furnishings. Bob Lance won this, although his wife kept pushing his hand in the air!
Jan Whitlow squashed all the competition as she won Dan Skoglund’s donation of Personal Business Plan Analysis, and Claire Flower will be showing off some great marketing items soon, as she won the Corporate Identity Package from Bellisima. The marketing items include beautiful business cards, postcards, letterheads and more.
Special thanks also goes to Jeanne Westmoreland who couldn’t attend but still made a generous donation to the Foundation, as well as Effie Jaramillo who won the fantastic Floral Arrangement from the Washington, DC IAHSP Chapter, but donated it to the Seattle IAHSP Chapter to be used in this year’s WWSSW.
The IAHSP Foundation Auction is a very special part of the Convention and we thank everyone who helped make this year so successful. I want to also thank so very much our chairwoman, Jane Ann Lance and her great auction committee for all of the hard work that they did to help bring our ASP IAHSP Auction to life! Thank you all who donated items for the auction too. You provided the important items and gifts that made the auction so successful. Thank you all!
We look forward to an inspiring World Wide Staging Service Week this year and to hearing many of the wonderful stories that come as a result of all of the wonderful work we all do to serve others. It began with the wonderful auction this year at our 2008 ASP IAHSP Convention. Thank you all for participating and thank you to all who contributed their time, talent, and dollars to make our ASP IAHSP Auction such a fabulous special event. Now, onto our great WWSSW Week…I can hardly wait to hear the great stories that come as a result of our WWSSW!
