The International Association of Home Staging Professionals Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Barb Schwarz, the Creator of Home Staging, is pleased to present…
The 2007 Worldwide Staging Service Week!
Thinking Globally, Acting Locally!
September 9th - 16th, 2007
Following Barb Schwarz’ dreams to give back to the communities in which we all serve, IAHSSP members and Accredited Staging Professionals come together for the betterment of our communities. “We can improve the lives of others through our magic of Home Staging.” Ms. Schwarz adds, “When we serve in this way, the benefits to the lives of others are far reaching.”
The IAHSP Foundation each year in September supports the World Wide Staging Service Week Charity Projects across North America. Local IAHSP Chapter members and Accredited Staging Professionals select regional or local charity organizations to find solutions to challenges that the charity may be facing. We are working with organizations to help where we can, whether it is lack of materials to enhance a room for a Ronald McDonald House that offer “A Home Away From Home” for families with critically ill children, a women’s shelter in need of a room facelift, a Habitat for Humanity house that needs more hands to complete a room, or just a family in need of some assistance with Staging their home for Sale.
We need your support to help us with these projects. In the past, we have partnered with corporate donors for all types of goods and services across the country, companies both large and small. Trades people donating their services to assist in our mutual goals for the charities; painters, plumbers, floral designers, window treatments, upholstery shops, furniture companies, artwork, photographers, the lists are never ending. We know we can not do this alone, it truly “takes a village”.
In 2006, a small chapter of 12, IAHSP members in the greater Detroit Metro area, decided to work with the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit. “We wanted to make a difference for the families that needed a place to stay while their child was in Children’s Hospital of Detroit, while still being only 100 steps from their child” says Carolyn Stieger, IAHSP Foundation Ambassador. “We knew our initial $300 wouldn’t go far, so we continued asking for donations from family and friends and collected another $2,000. Our chapter Business Affiliate Partners really came through for us, between their donations of goods and services and our chapter members donated man-hours the completed projects totaled over $33,000.”
This chapter’s 2006 project touched the hearts of many families and did make a difference. “It made a difference in me”, says Stieger, “I was asked to be on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southeast Michigan, I am honored to hold both positions as the 2007 IAHSP Foundation Ambassador and Ronald McDonald House Board member, 2007-2010.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities
This year many local IAHSP Regional chapters have Ronald McDonald Houses for their service projects. We are very excited to team with Ronald McDonald House Charities around the U.S. and Canada!
How can you help? As you can see, our needs are varied depending on the scope of each project. If you are interested in being a National Business Affiliate to assist on a national, regional or local basis, please contact us at Ambassador@IAHSP.com, we look forward to hearing from you and together we can accomplish our charity’s goals.
Sincerely,
