It all started many years ago on Christmas morning.

Santa surprised me with the Barbie house I had been dreaming about. As the day progressed, I moved the furniture from the "dream house" into an empty cardboard box- arranging and designing each room with pieces of fabric and knick knacks confiscated from my parents' home. By the time I finished, I had created a dream home that far exceeded the original Mattel version.

That instinctive design followed me in my travels as an Army officer's wife. Moving constantly, I was afforded a new pallet for design with each new home. My years with the military honed my skill in presenting a home to the real estate market. Because the moves were so frequent, I needed to present our homes well but also cost effectively. I learned how to nominally create an environment that presented a home in its best light and that quickly beckoned a buyer.
