Words have power and impact. And we MUST CHOOSE which ones we will allow in our minds and hearts.
I know our BELIEF dictates our ATTITUDE and our ATTITUDE impacts our ACTION. And ACTION leads to PRODUCTIVITY. And PRODUCTIVITY leads to PROFIT.
I know these words lead to HOPE. And HOPE gives us a FUTURE and our FUTURE is about MINDSET and POSITIVE EXPECTATIONS.
I know our MINDSET is impacted by what we listen to, read and watch.
I want to challenge all of us to stop watching the news as it is propelled by FEAR and FEAR is the enemy of PRODUCTIVITY. I am not saying ignore what is happening in the world but at some point we have to say, “ENOUGH!” We get it! Covid19 is bad. Countries are suffering economically. People are suffering emotionally. Sick are dying. Sick are recovering. We have to tune out all the negative. We need to tune into something positive every day!
I know like most everyone I have my fill of Netflix or Prime or TV to pass the time and binge watch shows at night… but how much TV or YouTube can we watch without at some point deciding “I have to do something else!”
Choose to READ positive books or business strategies that propel you forward. LISTEN to music that feeds your spirit. ENGAGE with other like-minded people. Set up a call with colleagues and friends. Have a fun time for yourself. Be KIND to one another on social media. And keep working towards your FUTURE as we WILL get through this and we will RISE!
What are YOU going to do to overcome the MINDSET of FEAR that has so many paralyzed with INACTION? I do the only thing I know how to do… PRAY and PERSEVERE.
I pray for this virus to lose its hold on our world and for those who are sick to get proper treatment and thrivr. I pray for my family, friends and colleagues around the world who have isolated for months and are dealing with loneliness, depression, and yes, fear. I pray against the deliberate destruction of our economies for the personal gain of entities poised to make billions off this crisis. And I persevere because I have made a CHOICE that we will RISE and be BETTER once this is over.
I know I can keep my ATTITUDE up by doing what I can to stay VIABLE. I work to provide added education that can help colleagues earn income and pivot to add services so they NEVER again will be in a position of NOT being able to earn income! I do what I can with my time and force myself on some days to move forward with tasks when all I really feel like doing is staying in bed. I have too many people counting on me for their livelihood and for leadership and guidance for me to curl up and retreat.
I know I cannot and do not take my roles lightly. I CHOOSE to EDUCATE myself so I can help disseminate and provide synthesized information to members, colleagues and friends. If one thing I share helps one person get through this or get some help for their company or family, then it is all worth it.
I know I must EXPECT the BEST and plan for it. Adding services, working on marketing and being poised to handle the expected flood of business that I believe is coming for all home stagers keeps my FOCUS FORWARD – not backward.
I know we will look back on this time with PERSPECTIVE and remember how we all came through the Pandemic of 2020 and how we CHOSE to keep our POSITIVE MINDSET and to push RETREAT out of our minds. This takes FAITH. Faith is BELIEVING in things we cannot see. Seeing is not believing. Believing is Seeing.
I know the sun will rise and set. The moon will glow. Flowers will bloom. Trees will grow. Birds will sing. Oceans will ebb and flow. Nature is having a reset and rest and is better for it. The air is cleaner. Waters are purer – dolphins are swimming in the Venice canals for the first time in decades and that is just one example. And our HUMAN SPIRIT also needs this.
RESET. RESTORE. REVIVE.
I know we will CHOOSE to RISE! And we will be standing STRONGER TOGETHER as a result of this experience that has made the human race come together for a common goal. VICTORY over ADVERSITY.
WE will KNOW how RESILIENT and RESOURCEFUL and STRONG we are as people with a common PASSION and PURPOSE.
